Our Hotel was originally constructed in the mid-1950's. It was one of the first motels on the "strip" of North Conway, called the Cross Country Motel.
The Brassill Family purchased the Cross Country Motel in 1974.
In the 1970's, the name was changed to the Stonehurst Motel, and the property was used to refer tourists to the Stonehurst Manor across the street. At that time, both properties were owned by the Brassill family.
In the 1980’s the hotel rooms all had waterbeds and hot tubs, the very popular trend at the time. The hotel lobby doubled as a waterbed sales room; water cribs, water shoes inserts, water furniture and water beds.
In 2002 the Name was changed to Adventure Suites. One by one, each hotel room was converted into a different architecturally themed suite.

We have been listed one of the top ten theme hotels in the world. Adventure Suites is a one-of-a-kind property. We are not a chain and have no other locations. Our fun, themed suites combined with our love for our customers and many add-on adventures make each stay an original adventure. Products and new innovations are painstakingly researched and ordered directly from Estonia, Italy, England, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, Russia, all over the U.S. and more. We attend conventions and seminars across the country to become proficient in our themes and the latest technology to facilitate them.
In 2018 we outdid ourselves again by finishing the Haunted Castle. The only simulated haunted hotel room in the world. Multiple visits to St. Louis to visit the largest haunting convention in the country, we were able to collaborate with the best in the business to use advanced technology to scare willing guests with video, audio, projection, motion sensors, time lapses and other tricks all computer generated and different each time you visit the castle.
In 2019 We were proud to have opened our Saloon, restaurant and Spa.
In 2021 We added our fabulous Playground in the back yard for the kids. We also boast sledding and an Igloo in the snow months and have always had some version of a fire patio in the back yard.
